Nikita Yogaraj is a Baltimore-based artist & information designer, specializing in linocut relief printing and portraiture
I consider myself a community artist whose artwork focuses on political & community mobilization, including shifting carceral mindsets and food sovereignty. I’ve been commissioned by local nonprofits including Community Ecology Institute, the Asian/Pacific Island Domestic Violence Resource Project, and the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health Department of Health Policy and Management. I’ve shown work at the Massachusetts Bail Fund, Chesapeake Arts Center, and Towson Asian Arts Gallery. I’ve given workshops and talks at the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Towson Asian Arts Gallery, the Johns Hopkins University Homewood Museum, and more.
